Bathtime with La Clinica Organic for Baby

Life, Reviews

by Emmy

Bath time with my babes has never really been my favourite mother / child activity, especially now there are two children to bath.  To be honest I always find it chaotic. I end up feeling frazzled and stressed post bath time.

I have been trying to make little changes to make bath time more calming & positive. Dimming the lights & lighting candles are perfect for when I want a bath by myself; but not so perfect for my ‘I am now a toddler and thus I am afraid of the dark’ two year old.  I have found if anything, when my two babes have a bath together it wakes them up and they end up running (and crawling) around the house like wild animals.

So I am always on the lookout to try something that might ‘calm’ and make bath time a happier place. I was pretty excited to try the La Clinica Organic for Baby Calming Bath Oil. I mean hello … it is called calming bath oil. Everything I have been searching for! With Rosehip and Certified Organic plant extracts of Chamomile, Calendula and Lavender this addition to our routine has worked a treat to help make bath time more relaxing. Not to mention the combination of smells is heavenly.

La Clinica Organic for Baby has no artificial ingredients, no artificial fragrances, is not tested on animals and is Australian made. For me these are four huge ticks.

I love using products with certified organic ingredients. It makes me feel like I have some control over what I give and use with my children. Like I am making a conscious decision, which is better for them and the environment. I also find when I spend a bit more on products, I tend to respect them and use them more frugally. So as a result they last longer. Bonus!

I’ve been using the La Clinica Organic for Baby Soap Free Wash Gel and Gentle Shampoo since Oliver was born and love the convenience of these pump bottles. Perfect to use with one hand, whilst I am trying to wrangle a toddler and a baby into the same bath. With notes of Rose, Geranium, Lavender, Rosehip and Olive Oil our entire 70’s bathroom smells like a divine organic day spa.

Post bath, we have been experimenting with some baby massage, using the La Clinica Calming Massage Oil. Okay so I have officially not mastered the post bath baby massage of a toddler and a baby, one is always running off whilst the other usually does a little wee; but I do love the skin to skin contact with my babes.
